One More Weekend (AUS) Rock
“One More Weekend are always up for a shred, the wilder the better” says enthusiastic front man Connor Dougan. After winning “best act” at the Big Break Festival in their native Australia, the band found themselves supporting many artists with just over 150 live shows completed in two short years. Their high energy brand of rock is both tight and perfected and yet they are not afraid to show their softer side.
Audience participation features highly in their live sets. “We want to connect with our audiences”, says Dougan. “Our aim is not just for them to feel a part of the show but in fact to have an experience. That’s the end goal”. Armed with three albums worth of songs an One More Weekend show can vary night by night. You will rarely get the same song set twice. “Our shows need to be flexible” says Dougan, “If the audience is on a ride, we want to take them higher, so reading the room energy is all important. Our songs tell stories and provoke feelings and hopefully, our audiences get it and enjoy the adventure.”
Sliptrick Records will be re-releasing their debut album, We Used To… later in the year with the band set to reach out to a wider global audience.
