Connecticut’s newly formed dark-alternative-folk project Murmur has released their debut full-length album, The Boundless Black, today. The record, distributed by Deathwish Inc, comes from the creative minds of veteran musicians Peter Morcey (100 Demons, Forced Reality) and Ryan Patrick White (Call It Arson, Jagged Visions). Pioneers in the underground CT hardcore scene, the duo has united for a complete departure from their roots with a dark, moody musical journey built on acoustic guitars with gorgeous harmonies, orchestral strings and subtle instrumentation. Artwork for the record was created by Jacob Bannon of revered hardcore band Converge.

In addition to the record’s release, Murmur has teamed up with NorthernTransmissions.com to unveil a new video for their latest single “The River.” Watch the video now at http://bit.ly/2DLoMOn.

“”The River” is a song with its own myth, its own legend. A tale of wanting more and leaving with less. Lyrically and visually we knew we had to capture this song in the right environment. We met with director Edwin Escobar with no more than an idea and thanks to him within two weeks we were filming, editing and watching this mini epic movie.” – Peter Morcey

Their latest single follows the release of “Funeral of the Hunt.” Watch the video for the track at http://smarturl.it/funeral-of-the-hunt.

Fans are invited to stream the album and purchase limited edition vinyl LP (2 colorways) now!

The Boundless Black is a slow burning and haunting journey through love, loss and ancient folklore…all the while the light of beauty and grace shining through. A lush tour through the cold, dark winter of life, while staying devoid of fear and riding tandem with faith and hope. The album is a stark masterpiece of mood and chilling melodies, reminiscent of acts like Tom Waits, Mark Lanegan and Death In June.
