VENOM PRISON enters international charts with sophomore album, Samsara

VENOM PRISON have officially entered the international charts with their sophomore album, Samsara which was released on March 15, 2019 via Prosthetic Records. The blistering new release continues to reach critical acclaim across the globe as VENOM PRISON tear into both the official UK Rock and Metal Charts and the Billboard Music Charts as follows:

UK Chart positions:
Rock and Metal: #4
Indie: #31

US Billboard Chart positions:
New Artist Albums: #13
Current Hard Rock Music Albums: #15
Top Independent Albums: #32
Current Rock Albums: #48
Current Digital Albums: #136
Top 200 Albums Chart: #141

In addition to landing simultaneously on Billboard and UK Rock & Metal charts, VENOM PRISON have also made their way onto the front cover of this week’s Kerrang! Magazine. The new issue hits shelves tomorrow, Wednesday March 27.

Recorded at Vagrant Studio in Southport, UK, Samsara was produced by Tom Dring (Dawn Ray’d, Dragged Into Sunlight) and Arthur Rizk (Code Orange, Power Trip). The impeccable work of both audio engineers highlights the dynamics and depth of the biting aggression that is present throughout Samsara. VENOM PRISONexplore personal anguish and expose socio-political contentions with unbridled fury from the first track to the tenth. Their thought provoking album title, Samsara represents the Buddhist concept of being reborn through life & suffering, a message further emphasised through the unnerving album artwork created by Eliran Kantor. Samsara is available right now on all platforms with limited vinyl colors and exclusive bundles available to order now

Continued Praise for Samsara:
“It is a furious, raging album; musical attrition that attacks with nuclear force and wind-tunnel velocity. They’ve made something more powerful and worthy of your respect than a million meaningless blast beats.” – KERRANG! (5/5)

“The sound of a much-vaunted new band fulfilling their potential and maturing into something deep, destructive, and gloriously beastly. Not only have Venom Prison lived up to the expectations, they’ve done it with the spirit of the underground coursing through their veins. Venom Prison embark on one of the most twisted and disturbing death metal journeys in recent memory.” – METAL HAMMER (8/10)

“To listen to Venom Prison is still akin to being hit by a wall of fire, a sandstorm of broken glass that shreds you to the bone. Venom Prison have come of age and created a masterpiece of righteous violence.” – ZERO TOLERANCE (5/6)

“The technicality of the dizzying DM riffs and complimentary lead work has been ramped up on par with scene veterans like Cannibal Corpse, Dying Fetus, and on “Asura’s Realm” Heartwork-era Carcass.” – DECIBEL MAGAZINE (8/10)

“…an all-out assault against religious dogma and hypocrisy, backed up expressively by savage riffing and unrepentant percussion.” – REVOLVER  MAGAZINE
“It’s albums like this that grant both perspective on and momentary release from the suffering and banality of the human condition, and bands like this that challenge the status quo and change the death metal landscape in subtle but important ways.”

VENOM PRISON will embark on full UK and European tour as main support to Fit For An Autopsy. The uncompromising five-piece will head out on the road from May through to June; also joining the tour will be Vulvodynia & Justice For The Damned.
