Slovakian Metal Project KING SVK Joins Sliptrick records

Joining the ranks at Sliptrick Records this week:

King SVK (Slovakia) Progressive Death Metal

In his younger years, Ivan’s musical feeling took a course towards a rather harder style of music. With the coming of the eighties, a new musical style was born – NWOBHM (New Wave Of British Heavy Metal). Bands like Iron Maiden or Judas Priest spread ferocious Heavy Metal which was full of immense energy. That energy caught him and inspired him to become a keyboard player and embark upon a musical career.

After stints in various bands such as Protest, Bestialit and Lunaitc Gods (all based around death metal), in 1998, Ivan started to gradually work on his solo project. In 2000, he recorded Royal Metal (as King SVK) in Studio Exponent with the album’s vocals done by Roman Slávik and “Dodo” Ďatel. Apart from Ivan, it was also the guitarist Pavel Baričák (Hirax) who significantly contributed to the album with his authorial creativity. A second album, Libertarian, was released in 2005.

Now King SVK have a new album, New Aeon, featuring Norbert (Noro) Ferencz on guitar, due to be released via Sliptrick Records later in the year.

King SVK are:
Ivan (King) Kráľ – Keyboards/Programming/Lyrics | Norbert (Noro) Ferencz – Guitars
