OMEN was formed as a “supergroup” in 1990 by POKOLGÉP members József Kalapács (vocals), László Nagyfi (guitars), OSSIAN drummer Zoltán Nagyfi, guitarist Tamás Szekeres and bass guitarist András Ács. Although the band has seen several line-up changes over the years, and recorded with 5 vocalists, original members, the Nagyfi brothers have carried the torch for almost 3 decades. OMEN released 11 studio albums, a live album and a “best of” album, and made their name one of the most prominent ones in the Hungarian heavy metal scene. Beside the Nagyfi brothers, the band’s current line-up features ex-Mobilmánia and Stula Rock vocalist Péter “Stula” Molnár, Máté Nagy, who’s also the member of the Greek speed/power metal band CRYSTAL TEARS, and József Mezőfi (AKELA).
The band previously released a videoclip for “Most kezdődik”, introducing Stula on vocals, followed by two lyric videos off the new record, “Knock & Roll / Lehunyt szemmel”, and most recently, “Az lesz, ami volt”. The band performed in Munich, Germany last week with fellow Hungarian bands Junkies and Moby Dick on “Hungarian Rock Night I.”, and expressed interest in participating in such events in the future.
