UNE MISÈRE – Release music video for second single, ‘Failures’

Icelandic wrecking crew, UNE MISÈRE, are proud to announce they are unleashing their full length debut, »Sermon«, unto the world on November 1st, 2019 via Nuclear Blast Records.

Today, the band releases the music video for their second single, ‘Failures‘. It was a family affair as the video was produced by the band with their very own Gunnar Ingi Jones handling the directing. With a special thanks to Kex Hostel and all the kids who helped make this video. Watch the music video for ‘Failures’ here:

Jón MárÁsbjörnsson comments, “‘Failures’ is about my journey off of drugs. The realization, the sobering up, the withdrawals and the self loathing it brought with it.It’s a song of anger and of regret but as it breaks down, it becomes this release that one needs. It keeps me sober. The song goes out to the straight edge kids out there.”

UNE MISÈRElaunchedtheir multi-partdocumentary series entitled “Iceland: Beauty In Misery” which chronicles the bands grimm relationship with the “picturesque” destination that has become a bucket-list location for the social media influencer elite.

Last week, the band discusses how they were introduced to music and their experiences with the Icelandic music-scene which has its limitations or “roof” due to Iceland having a limited population and being secluded from the rest of the world. Watch as the band details how this environment motivates them to want to be the best they can so they can so they bring their music to new territories, here:

UNE MISÈRE‘s vocalist Jón Már Ásbjörnsson comments, “We’re extremely excited to release »Sermon« upon the world as it is the first single off our upcoming album. The song is about the inner struggle that a person can have within themself. In a sentence it’s about being ready to go to the end of the world just to destroy yourself. We hope that people are as up for it as we are.”

»Sermon« was produced and mixed by Sky van Hoff (EMIGRATERAMMSTEIN, etc) with mastering completed by Svante Forsbäck. The album was engineered by Marco BayatlSky Van Hoff and Marco Kollenz. The album artwork was created by Niklas Sundin (DARK TRANQUILLITY).

The product of a modern age; the sonic nature of UNE MISÈRE cannot be easily defined. With an inherently heavy nature, the band sits somewhere on a vast spectrum of blackened hardcore and aggressive metal.

»Sermon« will be available in the following formats (see below):

  • CD Jewel
  • Black W/ Gold Splatter Vinyl
