THE CRAWLING To Release Wolves and the Hideous White on Cassette

As the one-year anniversary of their sophomore album Wolves and the Hideous White draws near, Northern Ireland’s The Crawling is preparing a special cassette release of the album.  Says the band,

“The album is approaching one-year-old, we have a hometown show coming up, and wanted to do something special. We don’t do as many Belfast gigs as we used to, so it’s always cool to add something, to make it an ‘event’ of sorts. We’re from the era of cassettes, Walkman and tape trading, so we thought we would release a limited edition cassette version of the album. It’s proper old school, single J card, black tape with on body printing. It looks absolutely brilliant, and it was cool to re-visit the artwork and adjust for the new format.  It’s for a limited listening audience of course, but people have already expressed an interest from a collector’s point of view as well. We’re super excited to release it!”

The release show will be at The Limelight in Belfast on Saturday, October 19th with support from Stahlsarg, Strangle Wire, and Nomadus.

About The Crawling
Formed in the winter of 2014 against the bleak concrete backdrop of Lisburn City, Northern Ireland, The Crawling use a guttural vocal to combine melancholy with weight, churning out a heavy doom/death ensemble.

January 2015 saw the single “Choking On Concrete,” which put the band on the scene, followed in October by the highly successful EP In Light of Dark Days. The debut album Anatomy Of Loss was released in April 2017 via Grindscene Records, accompanied by five music videos; it received excellent reviews worldwide and was streamed exclusively by Metal Hammer UK.

2018 was the year for the sophomore release, Wolves and the Hideous White featuring six brand new tracks. The album reflects upon the human desire to belong, the sacrifices made to be part of someone, disillusion from loss of self, and the final inability to escape.

The Crawling have established their live performance with support from a loyal fan base, appearing at Inferno Metal Festival (Norway), Bloodstock Open Air (UK), Seige of Limerick (IRE), and many more festivals across Europe.  With continued support from Grindscene Records and Blackskull Music Management, The Crawling brings their austere musical message further and further from home.
