Melodic death metal act WALL OF PALEMHOR has revealed a new lyric video for “Worms Inside”, new single taken from the album “D.R.A.M.A.C.O.R.E.” out on March 21th. The album was recorded at AudioCore Studio in Parma, Italy.
About the new track the band says: “‘Worms inside’ is the eighth track on our new album ‘D.R.A.M.A.C.O.R.E.’, which will be released in 2020. This piece is to be considered the test bench for the new sounds achieved compared to the previous EP ‘Obscura’ released between the end of 2015 and the beginning of 2016: the new style and tone of voice of Davide, our singer joined in 2016, and the use of 7-string guitars with the addition of more severe tuning, has enriched our death metal of metalcore traits. The song was composed by Nicola La Neve and was later arranged with the entire band. The song is in triplets, characterized by melodic riffs that follow one another, and goes from a cadenced part to a dreamlike part to close with a powerful ending. The theme dealt with in this track is about how the apparently positive reality of our life that shines over time, instead hides a decadent and more obscure dark side. When the brave realizes the decadent dark side of his existence and takes the courage to externalize it to others, he is considered a foolish, a madman by the society to which he belongs. As if he was infected by something obscure within him: worms. The creatures of his dark side that from within his own body slowly devour carcass and soul. Meanwhile, the viewer stands outside without noticing the excruciating suffering of the madman”.
