THOKKIAN VORTEX – unveil the new song “Traverse The Tonal”

Norwegian black metallers THOKKIAN VORTEX have recently announced the release of their new opus “Thy Throne is Mine” on February 28^th via Non Serviam Records.

Today the band fronted by Lord Kaiaphas, the former vocalist of Norwegian black metal act, ANCIENT, unveils the second single “Traverse The Tonal”.

Mastermind Lord Kaiaphas states: “‘Thy Throne is Mine’ is simply the best Black Metal that I’m capable of creating thus far. As a whole, it’s an album with songs that are catchy and memorable. I didn’t want to make an album with every song sounding the same. For the lyrics of Banishing the Lion of Kutha I created a story based on Sumerian and Akkadian mythology. This song has a warlike feeling.”

Musically, THOKKIAN VORTEX is Nordic style black metal as it was played in the 90’s by bands such as MAYHEM, EMPEROR, DARK FUNERAL, LIMBONIC ART, SATYRICON, etc.

Besides Lord Kaiaphas, the band features also guitarist Sabnock, bassist Sil, and drummer Asmodevs Draco Dvx (AZRATH 11, NAER MATARON, KURGAALL, ANCIENT, MELECHESH, etc.) in the ranks.
