Having signed to The Artisan Era at the end of 2019, California-based technical melodic death metallers Symbolik recently announced their upcoming debut album, Emergence. The album is set to drop on Friday, April 10th via The Artisan Era. It is the follow up to their highly-praised 2011 effort, Pathogenesis.
Now in 2020, Symbolik is eager to unleash their magnum opus of neo-classically inspired, hyper-melodic, black metal and symphonic tinged technical death metal music with Emergence. Several years in the making, Emergence is an explosive and mature effort bound to be counted among the strongest death metal releases of the year.
Emergence is strongly recommended for fans of groups such as The Black Dahlia Murder, Vale of Pnath, Fleshgod Apocalypse, Inferi, and Alterbeast.
The band partnered with Heavy Blog Is Heavy today to premiere “Augury of Ancients”.

Heavy Blog Is Heavy comments on the premiere of “Augury of Ancients”
“There’s undeniably a lot of tech death coming out these days, which is great for the genre, but also it makes it harder for artists to stand out. Symbolik might be a name that people who had their ear to the ground near the beginning of the last decade might remember. After a very solid debut in 2011 with Pathogenesis, they laid low, with the exception of a single. Now, they’re back with a full-length album, and it’s very exciting. Flourishes of neoclassical virtuosity and fast drumming hit just that right spot.”
Symbolik – Emergence Line-up
Chris Blackburn – Vocals
Allen Burton (ex-Alterbeast) – Guitar
