The Ontario based PHEAR are coming in strong, sinking their teeth into a slice of Metal history, dedicating a cover for Nevermore’s “Narcosynthesis“, for the memory of the late band’s vocalist, Warrel Dane, who sadly passed away in 2017.
PHEAR‘s attention to details, note by note, while also capturing the essence of Nevermore’s sound and atmosphere, deliver a masterful reincarnation of the American classic, such a performance that will make one understand their abilities and potential better than ever before.
Joining the vocal effort made for the Nevermore song, alongside lead vocalist, Patrick Mulock, is Jon Howard of Threat Signal / Imonolith. Howard’s low-mid growl tones adds an additional layer to Mulock’s sorrowful melodies, attributing to the song’s powerful emotional hold.
