“The Melatonist” is taken from Tulpas debut album “Unhealed“.
“Unhealed” as the title says, is an album written to express a wide range of feelings coming from hard experiences and challenging everyday life, conveyed by dark and melancholic atmospheres riding aggressive black metal and crust grooves.
The vinyl version of the album is in preparation and going to be released on vinyl in the autumn/winter of 2020.
I already feel
no matter how much tired I am
this bed will be cold
and darkness a coffin for tonight
those sleeping pills
in which I locked a part of my self
that cries all the time
I will smother him one more time
…and my heartbeat is still racing
night after night
Trapped in black moonless realms
the cycle resumes again
I close my eyes
just for the time of a nightmare
The corpse I became
the vow they made me break
Shakings from hell
pervades all my nerves
condemned to walk through empty rooms
waiting to be cursed by morning light
Painful but silent is my vigil
I am the Melatonist
Regardless the time
I stare at my own reflection
eroded by lies
the prison I build for me
the prison I build for me…
Hold me despite my venomous embrace
Like a mother cuddling her son‘s dead body.
