Even if their most recent album is dated 2013 and the band went through a period of hiatus and line-up adjustment between 2015 and 2019, ODD DIMENSION left a permanent mark on the Italian progressive metal scene. Finally the finest Italian progsters are back on the saddle, relying on the commitment of their historical members: Gianmaria Saddi (guitars, ACE OF HEARTS), Gigi Andreone (bass, A PERFECT DAY, KINGS OF BROADWAY) and Gabriele Ciaccia (keyboards, SECRET SPHERE), who have been joined in the last two years by Marco Lazzarini (drums, SECRET SPHERE, ARCHON ANGEL) and Gianbattista “Jan” Manenti (vocals, THE UNITY).
The band just put the finishing touches to their new yet untitled album. The follow-up to sophomore full-length “The Last Embrace To Humanity” (2013) has been recorded and mixed by Marco Barusso at BRX Studio in Milan. The ten songs effort is a concept album that perfectly captures the band’s trademark breadth of melodic, modern and progressive metal, in the most authentic sense of these terms, and features a guest appearance by Derek Sherinian (ex-DREAM THEATER, SONS OF APOLLO, BLACK COUNTRY COMMUNION, a.o).
