FIREWIND release „Break Away“ lyric video!

Not even two weeks after their brand new, self-titled, studio album „Firewind“ was released and caused quite a stir within Metal circles (and beyond), FIREWIND present a lyric video for the song „Break Away“.

Guitarist Gus G. on „Break Away“:
„The song has a very strong 80’s vibe. It was originally destined to be an instrumental, hence why it’s a “busy” guitar track. Lyric wise it’s about the PTSD (post traumatic stress disorder) that often soldiers deal with.
We feel that “Break Away” is one of the really strong tracks on the album and it’ll definitely find a place in our Setlist when the tour cycle resumes.“

Earlier this year, FIREWIND announced their new line-up, which now features Herbie Langhans (Avantasia) on vocals. The new album’s first single „Rising Fire“ (which dropped on March 20th) proved to be the perfect introduction for the group’s new incarnation as it was met with critical acclaim and got the fans excited for things to come. It was followed up by an extensive music video for „Welcome To The Empire“, which shows the band in an environment of artificial intelligence dominating the world and machines deciding about mankind’s future.

„Firewind“ was released on May 15th (available as Digipak, ltd. colored Vinyl, ltd. t-shirt+Digipak/Vinyl bundles).
