WISHING WELL’S “Lost in the Night” video out today

Finnish metalheads Wishing Well have released a new video off their “DO OR DIE” album (Inverse Records), released in March. “Lost In The Night” is the third video from the new album and it was filmed in band’s hometown of Helsinki in May.

The video features empty streets of downtown Helsinki by night, deserted by coronavirus. The protagonist in the video is 1964 Volkswagen Kleinbus, driven by rock manager Mike “Major” Mondeo.

“This song is maybe the most melodic thing we’ve done so far and people seem to like so we decided to shoot a video for that”, says Rafael Castillo, the raspy-voiced Chilian vocalist of the band. “The whole town was empty in the springtime and all clubs and restaurants were closed so it came out almost as a documentary of these weird times. Just like everybody else we had to cancel lots of shows this year but it’s good to have a new album out and this video is one way to promote it.”

The band will play a delayed album release show at On The Rocks Club in Helsinki on 16 September with Mount Mary as support.

Wishing Well are:

Rafael Castillo – vocals
Arto Teppo – Hammond organ
Rick Becker – bass
Juha Kivikanto – drums
Anssi Korkiakoski – guitar
