Norway’s STARGAZER release “Sentimental Guy” video today

After releasing their second album “The Sky Is The Limit” back in October 2019, the Norwegian hard rock and melodic heavy metal band STARGAZER say goodbye to the promotion phase of the record with a last video. And with what could hardly be a better pick. “Sentimental Guy” is one of the most atmospheric and heartfelt tracks of the whole album.

Do you cry when the hero dies?”, the vocalist Tore André Helgemo asks. “Well, if you are man or woman enough to admit to let your tender feelings flow from time to time, though your a hard rocker at heart, then maybe you should listen to this”.

Bang along to this monster 80’s-style stadium rock anthem from Norway’s hottest hardrock band at the moment! Check the video below or in one of our official media partners for its premiere.

STARGAZER “Sentimental Guy” official video

If you are into “in your face” classic melodic hard rock with elements of Led Zeppelin, Van Halen, Whitesnake, Dio and Deep Purple; then Stargazer is a band for you. Stargazer’s first album received great reviews from the hard rock-based media all over Europe back in 2010.

In 2019, nine years on, Stargazer returned with their second album entitled “The Sky is the Limit”. After years of struggle on the tiny hard rock scene of Norway playing festivals and support for bands like Jorn, Stage Dolls, DAD, Gary Moore, Nazareth and more, Stargazer was ready to take on the world. The line-up consists of founding members William Ernstsen on guitars and Tore André Helgemo on vocals. New members are drummer BP Hovik (Peer Gynt, Ronni Le Tekrø+Terje Rypdal) and last but not least, on bass Erik Svendgard. Erik has played with JORN, Mickey Moody of Whitesnake, Kee Marcello of Europe, Torstein Flakne of Stage Dolls and a lot more.

On the recordings for “The Sky Is The Limit” you can listen to the bassplaying of Morten “Morty Black” Skaget (TNT), and drums by Morten Skogstad (Stage Dolls). Morty Black also played on their debut album, whereas Skogstad is in with Stargazer for the first time. A fun fact is that the only time this rhythm section has played together on record before this album, is on TNT’s classic album “Intuition” (1989)!

Line up:
Tore André Helgemo – vocals, guitar
William Ernstsen – guitar
BP Hovik – drums
Erik Svendgaard – bass
