Australia’s HECATOMB to release debut demo thru INVICTUS – streaming in full now

Invictus Productions announces May 7th as the international release date for the striking debut demo of Australia’s HecatombHorrid Invocations, on CD and 12″ vinyl formats.

Hailing from Melbourne, Hecatomb formed in 2018 as a duo of guitarist Rick Warkill and vocalist/bassist/drummer Mangressor. Crude and rude, the debut demo Horrid Invocations was spit forth as a self-released tape in 2020 – and Invictus, renown for finding the wildest and most dangerous acts within underground metal, could not help help but release it on a wider scale.

Indeed, Horrid Invocations is exceedingly deserving of wider recognition, and fucking aptly titled: Hecatomb are the bastard sons of Australia’s rich ‘n’ ribald history of metal extremity. From Slaughter Lord, Sadistik Exekution, and Martire on to Gospel of the HornsVomitor, and Razor of OccamHecatomb dutifully serve the diabolical blood coursing through this undeniable lineage. Loose and lawless, Horrid Invocations presents one berzerker attack after another, swift and salacious at five songs in 22 minutes, as the duo detonate vulgar malformations of black, death, thrash, and unapologetic METAL. It doesn’t relent; it doesn’t sound nice; it doesn’t care for your comfort. Simply, Hecatomb are maniacs for maniacs: if you don’t understand the vernacular, then these Horrid Invocations are NOT for you!

Invictus Productions will be working with Hecatomb for future assaults on good taste and decency. Horrid Invocations is your first warning!
