AARA – “Triade I: Eos” out now!

Today, Debemur Morti Productions announce the official release of the first part of Swiss Black Metal band AARA’s new trilogy “Triade I: Eos”. Musically, the successor to AARA’s 2020 released album “En Ergô Einai” intensifies the progressive and forward-thinking elements in their sound. Nevertheless, careful listeners will also hear subtle references to the first compositions in the history of the band. Conceptually following the journey of young Melmoth in the Gothic novel “Melmoth The Wanderer“, written in the early 19th century by Charles Robert MaturinAARA’s third album applies a multi-facetted and dynamic approach to Black Metal.

Mastermind Berg comments on the release of “Triade I: Eos“:

As a project, you’re usually way ahead of everything. The first songs of “Triade I: Eos” were written before “En Ergô Einai” was even released. The recordings have been finished since autumn 2020, and I am currently composing the third part of the trilogy. So, it must be said that it is rather an ‘old hat” for us. But, of course, we are curious how the album will be received compared to the previous albums. However, this is not a criterion that will influence the next parts.”

Triade I: Eos” can now be streamed on the Bandcamp page as well as on the YouTube channel of Debemur Morti Productions.

AARA’s epic Black Metal journey has received high praise from media around the world:

“It’s a superbly dynamic, brilliantly realized piece of work with more great melodies in the first two tracks ‘Fathum’ and ‘Tantalusqual’ than in many a whole BM album.” (Zero Tolerance)

“So besides quality black metal, we can expect some intriguing themes and lyrics for at least 3 albums!” (GRIMM Gent)

“Neoclassical inspired segments, sharp riffs, distressing vocals, some synth arrangements that generate more color and drums as intense as precise.” (Metal Hammer Portugal)

Exploiting a rich vein of form, AARA find the past inside the present through a passionate, oft economical arrangement of rapier-sharp neoclassical earworm leads, anguished vocals, meditative synth, melancholic choral textures and drumming of inch-perfect intensity. Rousing, nostalgic, triumphant and transformative, with “Triade I: Eos” AARA definitively enter the top echelons of contemporary melodic Black Metal. The first part of the trilogy consists of six compositions:

01. Fathum
02. Tantalusqual
03. Naufragus
04. Nimmermehr
05. Das Wunder
06. Effugium

Triade I: Eos” is now released on CD, vinyl, and digitally. Orders are possible via the label’s EUUS and Bandcamp shops.

Switzerland’s AARA was founded in 2018 by vocalist Fluss and multi-instrumentalist Berg to create art highly influenced by atmospheric Black Metal. Sporting an epic, classical feel, their sweeping compositions aim to take the listener through the darkest alleys of human existence.

Soon after releasing their debut record “So fallen alle Tempel” in early 2019, AARA joined forces with Debemur Morti Productions, releasing their mosaic EP “Anthropozän” that same year.

Barely a year after their debut, AARA unveiled a new full-length record in April of 2020. A conceptual look into Europe’s Age of Enlightenment, “En Ergô Einai” sees AARA take their accomplished sound to new heights of mature artistic expression. Opened with a haunting acoustic intro courtesy of Vindsval (BLUT AUS NORD), “En Ergô Einai” is a triumph of fluid melodic euphoria and classical elegance, setting an even higher watermark in a bright, young discography. In March 2021, their third album and beginning of a trilogy “Triade I: Eos” will see the light of day.
