GLADENFOLD – new single & video “Starborn” released

Finnish Melodic-Death/Power-Metal band GLADENFOLD break the silence and strike back with their new digital single Starborn which is released via REAPER ENTERTAINMENT on every major platform. The song also comes along with a new music video containing footage of the band’s latest studio session and also of the new bandmember Ville Vesa.

The official video of Starborn was premiered yesterday on YouTube and can be seen here:

Drummer Lauri Itälä states:
“Starborn truly represents the power metal side of Gladenfold at its purest. It might be one of our catchiest songs to date, but also quite different compared to other songs we are preparing for the next album. Yet even though the song won’t make it to the album, we felt it is just too damn good one to be left out or go unnoticed. So, it became evident that we should release this one separately as a stand-alone single. While the next album is still in the works, here’s a true power metal gem for you to enjoy.”

In addition, the quintet has turned into a six-piece unit as the band’s well-established live bassist Ville Vesa joins the ranks as a full member. His powerful yet sophisticated bass lines are featured on Starborn.

Bassist Ville Vesa comments:
“After being last few years a live bassist, it feels good to formalize the relationship with Gladenfold. It has been really inspiring to work with guys on our new album and I really look forward to get the album out there for everyone. Starborn is a real banger.  It’s a song which is strong enough to stand alone. The music video also shows what polar nights and nightless nights do to one’s mental health.”

Currently, Gladenfold are recording their third album, to be released in 2022 via Reaper Entertainment.

Stay tuned for more infos and meanwhile enjoy their new single!
