INFERNAL TORMENT – “Birthrate Zero” reissue out today

INFERNAL TORMENT fans – and death metal fans in general – have been treated well in the past few months, with the deluxe reissue of debut album “Man’s True Nature” in several colours’ vinyls, t-shirt, new CD edition, etc. Today, the cycle continues, with the re-release of the Danish band’s second album “Birthrate Zero” in a similar collector-friendly format galore.

“Birthrate Zero” is out today in digital, digipack CD, and LP (black, purple and marbled dark green vinyls, each limited to 300 copies) via Emanzipation Productions. Orders are available at this link.

After the incredibly successful reissue of “Man’s True Nature”, it’s now time for the second album of Danish death metal cult act INFERNAL TORMENT to hit the racks. With a slightly adjustment of line-up, which now included Heinz Kristensen on drums, Infernal Torment recorded “Birthrate Zero” at Borsing Studios (Illdisposed) and released it originally in 1998. It was a more melodic and complex album, showing somehow a fresh musical direction for the project but, unfortunately, the group disbanded shortly after. The band was short-lived but their two-album legacy lived on, getting stronger every year that passed since then.

Key members joined bands such as Illdisposed and Dawn Of Demise in their careers after Infernal Torment.

However, “Man’s True Nature” and “Birthrate Zero” remains two of the most controversial and non-compromising brutal albums in the history of Scandinavian death metal! Now, for the first time ever, “Birthrate Zero” will finally be available on LP for the first time ever, after a demanding request from death metal fans worldwide.

Recording line-up:
Steffan Larsen – bass
Poul Winther – lead guitars
Jakob Batten – guitars, vocals
Heinz Kristensen – drums
Scott Jensen – lead vocals
