Power Paladin is an Icelandic band formed in 2017 playing fairytale-like power metal.
We can recognize heavy Iron Maiden and Helloween influences, but Edguy, Rhapsody and HammerFall are also in the picture. You got this feeling when HammerFall came out with their debut back then – although they are not Swedish, but still hailing from a Nordic country 🙂
The album “With The Magic Of Windfyre Steel” will be stigmatised as another copy band by many people, but they were formed later than Iron Maiden, so there’s no getting around it!
Regardless, this is catchy Euro-power metal with great riffs, anthemic songs, excellent drums with varied vocals.
Really great debut from the Icelandic band, feel the courage to check them out!
I think they’ve freshened up the heavy-power style a bit right at the beginning of the year. This band could be easily the discovery of the year for some metalheads!
