“Anamnesis” – A Tale of Envy and Death – IMMORTAL SŸNN’S Latest Video

American heavy metal band, Immortal Sÿnn, has just released the second music video of their career for their song, “Anamnesis”, available now on YouTube.

“Anamnesis,” tells the story of a broken man experiencing nightmares after the death of his lover, and creating a fantasy world in order to cope with the loss. Returning from the world of the departed, his object of desire struggles to recount to him the tale of deceit and envy which led to her demise. Sometimes those whom you trust the most may hide the deepest, most sinister agendas!

First released as a single in June 2020, and then as the lead track to the band’s sophomore effort, Force of Habit (May 2021), “Anamnesis” has quickly become a fan favorite both in live shows and streaming sites alike. The music draws its influences from traditional metal artists such as Judas Priest and Iron Maiden, with hints of melodic power metal mixed in as well. It was the first song to be written entirely by drummer Axel Berrios and was vocalist Duel Shape’s debut track with the band.

The video was directed by Justin Vaughan (Draghoria) with a storyboard by Axel Berrios. It stars the band members as themselves (Duel Shape, Tony Z, Axel Berrios, Brad Wagner, and Frantz Pierre) as well as actress Miranda Byers. Filming took place in various locations throughout metro Denver including Mt. Olivet cemetery in Wheat Ridge and private residences in Lakewood and Aurora. The sylvan scenes were filmed in Lyons, CO.

Immortal Sÿnn is a heavy metal band from Denver, CO. In a sea of modern cookie-cutter acts, the band tries to retain a more familiar and old-school sound that propelled bands of the 70s and 80s to superstardom. Taking their cue from thrashers such as Exodus and Megadeth, as well as NWOBHM legends like Judas Priest and Motörhead, Immortal Sÿnn creates a perfect mixture of speed and grit, but can also knock you out with mid-tempo riffs from hell. The band’s goal is to bring metal to the masses and to show the world that the sounds of yesteryear are still alive and well.

“It was a long road to making this video (quite literally), but it’s here, and I think it’s some of our best work so far.” – Tony Z (guitar, Immortal Sÿnn)
