Devastating Deathcore aggression with ominous undertones, Aurora Of Oblivion sets out to prove that extreme music will always rise above the petty quarrels of enemy nations.

Initially started by Bay Area multi-instrumentalist Bret Hollingsworth of The Ogre Packet Slammers in 2020, Aurora Of Oblivion soon turned into an International Deathcore project with the addition of Iranian Bassist Emin “The Murderbass” Aghajanian. It’s no secret that U.S. and Iran’s relations have been “tense” for a long time, but that didn’t stop this duo from creating the style of music they’re most passionate about together, Extremely Heavy Music.

While inspired by a diverse list of artists such as Thy Art Is Murder, Shadow Of Intent, Infant Annihilator, and Enterprise Earth, Aurora Of Oblivion attempt to bring in some outside-the-box songwriting and dark atmospheric melodies to the Deathcore genre.

“Dethrone The Parasite” Out Now Everywhere!

The duo premiered their debut single Dethrone The Parasite on Slam Worldwide on January 14th, 2022, and had this to say about the single:

Dethrone The Parasite is about dealing with people that have wronged you and taking what they hold as power away from them. My friend and The Ogre Packet Slammers bandmate Michael Solheim of Impulsive Audio produced the song.”
Bret Hollingsworth (Vocalist, Guitarist, Drummer for Aurora Of Oblivion)

The concept of people wronging you is one that rings true for most people; however, it especially manages to resonate with me. Identifying the parasites in our personal lives and disposing of them is a lesson better learned as early as possible and will save your time, money, and mental health.”
-Emin “The Murderbass
Aghajanian (Bassist for Aurora Of Oblivion)
