ENTERPRISE EARTH album ‘The Chosen’ Out now through MNRK Heavy

Friday 13/01/22 marked the official release date of The Chosen, the long anticipated new full-length from progressive deathcore outfit ENTERPRISE EARTH.Thick with atmosphere and groove-driven, old-school death metal with modern flourishes, the record finds the band switching gears from earth-shattering breakdowns to sickeningly slow sludge to blast furnace pummelling with seemingly effortless ease.

Writes Blabbermouth of the offering, “…ENTERPRISE EARTH come pretty close to transcending deathcore altogether on The Chosen, instead pursuing a new and often electrifying hybrid of modern (and not so modern) metallic styles, replete with far bigger tunes than on any previous record. From the opening seconds of ‘Where Dreams Are Broken,’ the sheer, shiny weight of this thing is abundantly apparent. The Chosen sounds huge and definitive. The Chosen was engineered, produced, mixed, and mastered by the band’s Gabe Mangold (now the group’s sole guitarist) save for the drums which were tracked with producer Jason Suecof (August Burns Red, Demon Hunter, Death Angel).

What people are saying:

“…For anyone who can handle brutal and melodic in the same cauldron, I’d definitely be giving this a listen. It’s really great to hear so much experimentation within what was classically a fairly well-defined and somewhat limited genre. Get it in ya earholes!” – Heavy Mag

“The Chosen is immensely diverse and captures the essence of so many genres. From deathcore to thrash to djent, you’ll be kept engaged across this giant record…” – Wall of Sound

“The Chosen sounds and feels like an intermittently experimental masterclass, as ENTERPRISE EARTH warp crushing grooves to their own foul ends, ugly electronics bursting from every calcified pore and enough mad-eyed melodrama to briskly check the infernally gothic box, too.” 8.5/10 – Blabbermouth

“Barely two weeks into 2022 and we already find ourselves in the presence of a band who are redrawing the battle lines. Is it too early to say that, in The Chosen, ENTERPRISE EARTH have made sure they’re going to be hard to topple from the top of the pack?” — V13

“The Chosen is ENTERPRISE EARTH’s most-everything record to date: it’s the heaviest, the most vicious, the most technical, and, not for nothing, the catchiest offering in the band’s already-impressive repertoire, and it’s already destined to be one of 2022’s must-hear metal releases.” — MetalSucks

ENTERPRISE EARTH is here to pound you into dust…” — Metal Injection
