UNI/VS Return to show the world their new video and single ‘Saboteur’

‘Saboteur’ out on Friday April 8

First New Music since 2020

Universes are born and die every second out there. But Brisbane’s UNI/VS (read: Universes) are here to stay and today they return to announce their first new music since 2020.

The new single ‘Saboteur’ is out on Friday April 8. It comes with an intense and symbol-heavy videoclip Filmed & Directed By Colin Jeffs (Ten of Swords) and Produced By Ten Of Swords & UNI/VS.

Michael Ryan, Guitarist/Vocalist for UNI/VS, said this about the brand new track. “Saboteur was inspired through observation of a flawed part of the human condition – the desire to consciously and subconsciously self sabotage our lives when things become uncomfortable or foreign. Even when the change or situation is beneficial we sometimes seem to look for an out from responsibility, stress or power. It’s only when we hit rock bottom we seem to feel grounded.”

The powerful track was Produced, Mixed & Mastered by Gareth Hargraves (The Brave, The Comfort, She Cries Wolf and more) and the clip Filmed & Directed By Colin Jeffs, Produced By Ten Of Swords & UNI/VS, with help from the Assistant Director Shaun Williams, 1st AC James Latter and Make Up by Olivia Little.

UNI/VS formed in early 2017 and hit the ground running off the back of their debut EP ‘Deaths Door’ and followed up quickly with their single “Upside Down”. 2018 saw them supporting international acts such as SilversteinCome Back KidStick To Your GunsBeing As An Ocean and some of Australia’s best home grown artists such as Dream On DreamerYoung LionsThornhillOcean SleeperHonest CrooksThe Brave and many more.

Their 2018 Sophomore EP “Smile” grew their fan base after touring the EP around Australia in early 2019 and went on to play sold out shows around the country supporting acts such as DealerConfessionWindwaker and Mirrors that year.

They dropped Hellhound in early 2020 – but as everyone knows – COVID-19 crushed a lot of UNI/VS’ plans and goals, including their “Hellhound” East Coast Tour and their first international show in Sweden.

Now, through the ashes of a rebuilt world, they are excited to present their latest single “Saboteur”. It’s out on Friday April 8!
