Rogga Johansson and Peter Svensson have finished the work on the third Furnace album, which is titled “Stellarum” and will be released on 10 June via MDD! Musically, the 10 new songs offer a combination of the two previous albums and the trademarks stamped on them, such as the straightforward melodic death of “Black Stone Church” and the progressive elements of “Dark Vistas”. The lyrical concept behind “Stellarum” continues the stories of these two albums and accomplish them into an epic trilogy. It combines the more Lovecraftian themes of “Dark Vistas” with those of the dystopian “Black Stone Church” and adds strong elements from the old Soviet film “Polaris” and other sci-fi themes!
