2 years after is debut self-titled album and couple of months after sharing some excerpts from the record with the songs “Broken Beyond Despair” and “Thy Kingdom Fall”, French technical melo-death metal unit Angel Rising (feat. Kevin Talley from Dying Fetus, Suffocation) released its sophomore full-length record called ‘Immortal Volition’ and available right now on CD & digital through Music-Records.
In addition to the official release-news, the band also shared the whole effort for FREE STREAMING on bandcamp.
Angel Rising is a melodic death metal project launched in 2018 by guitar player Listenangel originally invested in his YouTube channel « listenangel » born in 2010 and specialized in guitar shredding, virtuosos solos and totalizing almost 2 millions views.
Thanks to the success of the channel, famous drummer Kevin Talley (Dying Fetus, Suffocation, etc.) contacted him and offered his services. Years later the two musicians gave birth to the song « From the Grave To The Light »,.
Between 2018 and 2020, Listenangel composed and recorded seven more tracks, playing all instruments and vocal parts with the help of two talented and experienced metal vocalists : Hermyth and M Fox.
On april 2020, Angel Rising’s self titled first album was released on all legal platforms. Thanks to the very positive reception of the album, the french metal label Music-records offered a deal in July 2020 for the distribution of the album.
For that occasion Angel Rising recorded a bonus track with once again Kevin Talley on the drums. The song called “Pull the trigger” has been released on July 17th 2020 on all streaming services and featured as a bonus track on the CD out in october 2020.
Since 2018, Listenangel put the channel aside and gave all his musical energy in creating the sound of Angel Rising, wanting it to be a mixture between primal brutality and technical melodicity.
The second album ‘Immortal Volition’ has been released on September, still on Music-records and marks the new evolution of their music turned into a more ambitious and technical Death Metal, more atmospheric and still faithful to the origins of the genre.
