Florida deathcore outfit BODYSNATCHER today unleashes their video for “Value Through Suffering.” Now playing at MetalSucks, the crushing hymn comes by way of the band’s Bleed-Abide full-length, released earlier this year via MNRK Heavy.
Comments drummer Chris Whited of the rousing song, “‘Value Through Suffering’ was written as a message to myself to not let the struggles in life bring you down, but rather allow them to build you into a better, stronger version of yourself. So really sit down and feel the horrible things you have been through and appreciate the person you are today.”
Adds MetalSucks, “The accompanying video is something we can all relate to: the struggle with mental health and the feeling that the walls are closing in around us. The video features actor Trey Torr, who at first is having a meltdown triggered by negative emotions and circumstances in his life but ends with Torr reclaiming control of his life. At the end of the video, a message of hope from drummer Chris Whited appears, promising the viewer that they can find their own ‘Value Through Suffering.’”

Bleed-Abide was recorded by Whited at 1776 Recordings with drums engineered by Neil Westfall and Bud Phillips at The Unicorn Room, and guitars re-amped by Phil Pluskota at Sonic Assault Studio. The record is callously grim, ferocious, and threatening, crackling beneath the weight of its own fury and power. BODYSNATCHER’s Bleed-Abide truly puts the “core” back in deathcore.
Bleed-Abide is available now on CD, LP, cassette, and digital formats at THIS LOCATION.

“BODYSNATCHER are clearly gifted with the power of the pummeling riff and hard-hitting, hardcore-infused lyrical prowess.” – Decibel Magazine
“…it rips…” – BrooklynVegan
“‘Value Through Suffering’ highlights the final tool in Bleed-Abide’s arsenal: atmosphere. It comes sandwiched between eerie guitar strains, which give way to chilling tremolo picking and blast-beating. While BODYSNATCHER reverts back to its low-and-slow approach soon after, it’s encouraging to hear them experimenting with their form without trying too hard.” – Metal Injection
“…their most comprehensive release to date. Stopping at nothing to absolutely obliterate the listener, BODYSNATCHER provides a robust full length record with practically no filler, steamrolling the listener between a cavalcade of crushing aggression.” – New Transcendence
“These thirteen tracks of straight Floridian tough-guy deathcore are filled to the brim with unadulterated rage and hostility. There’s no shortage here of hairy knuckle slams, jarring grooves, and pit-stomping two-steps.” – New Noise Magazine
“Their skillset enables them to be just as comfortable getting down and dirty with the slower, beatdown elements as they are hitting you with rapid rounds of pure carnage. There are also a lot of thought-provoking messages to be dissected within this release which helps elevate them beyond the usual blood and guts that this style of music tends to lean towards. A very impressive effort from one of the genre’s hottest prospects.” – Distorted Sound
