One of the most consecrated bands of Brazilian metal, TORTURE SQUAD, prepares to release the new work, the live album ‘Tortura en La Iglesia En Vivo’. As a preview, the band shares the first single and music video, from the song “Horror and Torture” (Live at La Iglesia).

This is a song that since its release has been among Torture Squad’s classics. This music video synthesizes the energy of the headbangers present on July 16, 2022, where the band performed in a sold-out night at La Iglesia, in São Paulo, one of the largest metropolises in the world, and the entire recorded show gave rise to to the new live album.

‘Tortura em La Iglesia Ao Vivo’ will be released on all digital platforms in 2022, with two music videos, and to the surprise of fans, the band will also release an unreleased song that will integrate the album live as a bonus track.

Currently TORTURE SQUAD continues with a full schedule, performing shows throughout Brazil, and is preparing to go on stage with Exodus on December 4th and three shows with the band Nervosa, in Pomerode. /SC (29/10), Curitiba/PR (30/10) and Feira de Santana/BA (05/11). Torture Squad is seen by extreme music fans as one of the most visceral and powerful metal bands in action today. With almost three decades of performance, with excellent live performances including in the most important metal festivals in the world, the Brazilian group gathered legions of fans playing all over the country, Latin America and Europe.

In 2019, while preparing the new album, Torture Squad arrived at one of the biggest music festivals in the world, the Brazilian Rock in Rio, where they performed for an audience of 120,000 people. In a cast filled with metal legends such as Anthrax, Slayer, Sepultura, Scorpions and Iron Maiden, the show was epic alongside Chuck Billy (Testament) and Brazilians Claustrofobia on the Sunset stage, with the set covering songs from their entire career. Torture Squad and Testament Classics. After Rock in Rio, came the long-awaited tour of Central America, passing through Mexico, Honduras, El Salvador and Guatemala. The highlight was the show at Mexico Metal Fest where Torture Squad was one of the headliners.

In 2020, they released a new single and video called “O Doctrinador”, inspired by a Brazilian comic book character that was also turned into a movie and TV series. The English version of the single and video called “The Awakener” is also available. In 2021 the band celebrated twenty years since the release of their third album “The Unholy Spell” (2001) playing the entire album in Lives and live shows.

In 2022 Torture Squad performs in Brazil alongside great bands like Exodus and Nervosa, and prepares to release the new studio album.
