WATERLINES (Formerly Sertraline) – Announce Rebirth With The Halo Around The Horns – New Single / Video Out Now

Yorkshire metalcore quartet Waterlines are delighted to announce their new era and the rebirth of the band. Born from the ashes of Progressive tech metallers Sertraline, Waterlines is a natural evolution of a process that started earlier in the year with the recruitment of frontman Ben Mars.

Waterlines are announcing themselves onto the UK metal scene at full force, with their blistering new single The Halo Around The Horns. Utilising the twin guitar attack of Tom Wilson and Mike Hawkings, the precision drumming of Si Douglas and the incredible power and variation of Ben Mars‘ vocals, The Halo Around The Horns is the perfect showcase of the full abilities and potential of Waterlines.

On what led Waterlines to the rebirth of the band, we hand over to Ben Mars to take everyone through the process:

“When I started with the band, we knew we wanted to explore a different direction and find our horizon. I guess at the time we didn’t really understand what that meant, but when Halo was born and we started to tweak it, we knew this wasn’t Sertraline anymore. We explored our options and had more than a few conversations about how we felt, but when we played it live, we knew there and then that what was Sertraline, would become Waterlines.

Halo is an important song, it’s about living up to your potential and maximising your opportunities. I think that’s what Waterlines is, it’s an opportunity to grow for all of us and we want to grab it by the horns. Sorry I had to… ūü§£

They will be part of an excellent line up supporting Borders on their Bloom Season album release show. Details of the show can be found on the poster below (yes, we know it currently says Sertraline – a new poster will be issued soon):
