Gothenburg/Stockholm -based deathgrinding punks CHILD are getting set for the release of the band’s highly anticipated debut album “Meditations In Filth”, which is slated to be released in early 2023 via Swedish label EAT Heavy Records. After the release of the first two singles “Billion Years Of Darkness” and “Manic Vortex”, the band follows up today with the brand new track “Burn As One”.

Burn As One is an intense trip into dbeat-country with a healthy dose of grind and a breakdown to boot. This time the artwork was again created by a good friend of the band, Per Börjesson. His impressionistic oil painting embodies the chaos of the song and is a beautiful addition to the surrounding artwork for the upcoming album.” CHILD comments.

The foundations of CHILD can be traced back to 2015 when Alex Stjernfeldt (NovaruptaGrand CadaverLet Them Hang, ex-The Moth Gatherer, ex-Mr. Death) and his longtime friend Albin Sköld (Aardena) wanted to create something new and extreme. In 2018 they were joined by Joakim Lindström (Mr.Death/The Grifted) and performed their first show in Stockholm. Between 2018 and 2021 their creativity peaked as they rehearsed and began writing new music. Staffan Persson (Let Them Hang) and Per Stålberg (Division Of Laura LeePablo Matisse) joined the band shortly after. Being a full band, CHILD entered Welfare Sounds later the same year and started recording their debut album, which is set to see the light of day in the not-too-distant future.

Be prepared for an overwhelming sonic experience full of sonic twists and grinding turns as well as “the Black Album of grindcore”! “Meditations In Filth” to be released early 2023 via EAT Heavy Records!
