Nova Scotia, Canada — Canada’s death metal act CRONENBERG are set to release its second full-length album GRANDIOSE THRONE OF GROTESQUE FLESH. The album was written and recorded over the winter months after frontman Grandmaster Flush returned to Canada after a long stay in the United Kingdom.

“I started this band while living in the UK to pay homage to the Canadian king of body horror, so it’s only fitting I’ve returned home and the band can take its proper place as a Canadian death metal band” – says the frontman.

“GRANDIOSE THRONE OF GROTESQUE FLESH” is ten tracks of grisly chainsaw guitars, subterranean bass, and vocals that are gurgled, grunted, and growled. Homage is paid to bands like Dismember and Entombed but also to Voivod. Melodies are abused into twisted, coiling dissonance. Lyrics revolve around David Cronenberg’s films along with touching on other horror masters like Junji Ito and John Carpenter.

Tracklist:

01) Revolting Transformation
02) Thing
03) Hideous Son
04) Chewed Up and Spat Out
05) A Wretched Brood
06) Remina
07) Consumed From Within
08) Psionic Monster
09) Skulls on Skulls on Skulls
