Italian thrash-death metal act Methedras is glad to announce the release of its sixth chapter named “Human Deception”, set to be out on June 16th with the first single available from April 7th. A new artistic chapter for the band, first of all in terms of renewed line-up with Beppe “Rex” Caruso (IRA, ex-Node) as frontman and Edo Sala (Folkstone, BardoMagno) as drummer: “Two incredible and talented Italian artists who have remarkably enriched the style of the band since their arrival and have been able to deliver a higher class to our new compositions” explain Andrea Bochi and Daniele Colombo.
Recorded at the legendary Studio Fredman by Fredrik Nordström, “Human Deception” reinvents the attitude of Methedras: “We are extremely satisfied with our new album, made of meticulous study in terms of songwriting and full of nuances, losing a little in immediate fruibility but gaining a lot in longevity and malleability. Every single aspect has been improved – the experience achieved during these years of career has played an important role in that case – bringing the project to a new level never achieved in the past. In ‘Human Deception’ you can find both the old and the new face of the band, all in one, with the thrash side fading out a little bit while other elements like death, black and rock’n’rollhave been drastically hardened and improved. Another important aspect to mention is the collaboration with two incredible artists as Francesco Ferrini (Fleshgod Apocalypse) for orchestrations on five out ten songs and Giacomo Gastaldi, a master in analogic synth, who offered us their talent in order to give a fresher and modern make-up to our new album. With ‘Human Deception’ we’d like to get the attention of a wider and curious audience, fascinated by sound contaminations, without mental barriers when listening to metal music”.
