Elderseer, the UK-based melodic death/doom metal band, has just unveiled the music video for their latest single “Under a Dark Sky.” The track was taken from their album “Drown in The Shallowess”, on Meuse Music Records.
The band’s sound is heavily influenced by the UK gothic doom scene of the 90s, resulting in a crushingly heavy and dark atmospheric sound with powerful melodic elements. Their music is both blackened and melodic, slow yet intense, making it the perfect soundtrack for moments of loneliness and melancholy.
Lyrically, the band tackles contemporary pagan themes, exploring subjects such as nature and society, isolation, darkness, self-introspection, and a critique of modern societal landscapes. “Under a Dark Sky” perfectly embodies these themes, with its haunting melodies and brooding atmosphere.
For fans of Woods of Ypres, My Dying Bride, Anathema, and Katatonia, Elderseer is a band to watch. You can find the video for “Under a Dark Sky” on YouTube at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nLgXxofai_g
