Blackened Progressive Metal Group VINTERSEA Return with “At the Gloaming Void’

Eagerly awaited VINTERSEA make their return with “At the Gloaming Void,” a brand-new offering from the Portland-based outfit. It marks the first new music since their notable 2019 release, ‘Illuminated,’ an album that turned many heads and remains a favorite for fans and a consistent seller for the M-Theory label. As always, the band’s commitment and vision towards their art is fully enhanced by another top-notch production video, handled by bassist Karl Whinnery, which debuts today on the band’s YouTube channel https://youtu.be/y-ztBVt8xXg “At the Gloaming Void” is also available now as a digital single on all streaming and download platforms https://lnk.to/atthegloamingvoid

After three years of touring, writing, and recording, we couldn’t be happier to be back with ‘At the Gloaming Void.’ This song represents everything that excites us about our upcoming album – it is ferocious, heavy, fast, and unrelenting, but still touches on deeper emotions and a sense of beauty,” states guitarist Riley Nix. “We hope that you all have as much fun listening to the song, watching the video, and sharing them with your friends as we did making them!

At the Gloaming Void” is the first taste of the highly anticipated new album from VINTERSEA. Set for a May 5th album release, the album coordinates perfectly with the group’s tour that begins the same day with Portugal’s famed gothic metal band MOONSPELL, joined by Swedish symphonic metal act ELEINE and Texas’ Progressive OCEANS OF SLUMBER.

The forthcoming effort was once again engineered by Gabe Johnston (Devin Townsend, Underoath, Moonsorrow), and this time mixed by the team of Carson Slovak and Grant McFarland (Rivers of Nihil, Lorna Shore, Black Crown Initiate) with mastering duties handled by Troy Glessner (Unto Others, Silver Talon).

VINTERSEA create a unique fusion of majestic progressive metal with harsh blackened death and post-metal beauty which draws inspiration from the darkened skies of their Pacific Northwest home. Fronted by Malaysian-born singer Avienne, whose vocal range spans from haunting melodies to fierce growls, VINTERSEA delivers heavy, emotionally powerful and technically intriguing music that is undeniably inspired by the majesty of their surroundings. The group built an organic and devoted following through impeccable and illustrious music videos (with combined views of almost 3 million), social media outreach and tours with Dawn of Ouroboros, Graveshadow and Voices of Ruin, as well as playing regionally opening for Fleshgod Apocalypse, Obscura, Thulcandra, Wolfheart, Ne Obliviscaris, Jinger, The Ocean, Arkona and Sirenia. Now armed with a stellar new album, proper management and booking agent we are all excited to begin the next album campaign and relish in the growth and further appreciation for this noteworthy young band.
