The Marburg-based death metal horde Corrosive are currently working on their sixth longplayer, which will be released in autumn via MDD Records. Behind the new album is a story concept, the idea of which was born with the song “Notzucht der Hexe” from the “Nourished In Blood” album and has developed into an extensive “witch project” over time. The result is a story driven by different characters before it leads in a bloody showdown. In order to realise the overall concept effectively, the band decided to cast the different roles with different singers, just like a play. For this purpose, they not only used friends and acquaintances, but were also able to convince some idols and heroes from their youth to take part in the album. In the main roles, besides singer Andy, Gerre (Tankard), Sabina Classen (Holy Moses), Dirk Weiss (Warpath), Eva Schmidt (Nihil), Andreas Jäger (Hyems) and Kai Wilhelm (Final Cry), among others, take the microphone. Other illustrious guests will also be heard in supporting roles and backing vocals. Furthermore Eiko Truckenbrodt (Final Cry) has contributed already a guest guitar solo. Musically, the grim concept has been taken into account and at times the sound is more melodic and also more black metal influenced than on the previous albums. Of course, the typical Corrosive trademarks will also not be missed. Sounds massive? It will be! On 12 songs and a playing time of 60 minutes Corrosive take you on a journey into a dark period. Be prepared!
