Furia in the running for Polityka’s Passport award in the popular music category

“Two decades of Furia’s presence on stage means twenty years of experiments, challenges, and following their own, non-obvious paths.”

Furia has been nominated for the prestigious Polityka’s Passport in the Popular Music category. Paszport Polityki (Polityka’s Passport) is an annual Polish cultural award presented by the weekly magazine Polityka. The award has seven categories: film, theatre, books, visual arts, classical music, popular music and digital culture. 

It is a prestigious award in Poland and is considered a distinction for creators who make the fastest progress, surprise audiences with new achievements, and their activities bode well for the future and therefore, deserve care, support and promotion in the world.

The other two nominees in the Popular Music category are rapper Łona and pianist, singer, and composer Hania Rani.

The award follows Furia’s latest album “Huta Luna” which was released in October via Pagan Records. The album has received lots of rave reviews both abroad and in the band’s home country of Poland with many major media outlets praising Furia’s work.

Grab “Huta Luna” – 

Furia recently completed a headlining eight-date tour of Poland with guests Zamilska (techno, industrial), Owls Woods Graves (black metal, punk) and Krzta (sludge metal, mathcore). Ahead of that tour, the band performed a special performance at the Biennale Industrii in Katowice, Poland as part of the Silesian Museum programme.
