First manifesto of enigmatic darkness

A new exponent of powerful metal emerges from Chile. This is Enchiridion Mortis Aeternae (EMA), a quartet from Santiago born in 2022 that has just released their first studio work, with which they present their brutal credentials. The EP, titled “Necher Jertet”, deploys the relentless arsenal of riffs and shrapnel of drums with which they build an intense melodic black death metal experience.

This is the first step before the complete album, which will be titled “The Book of the Dead”, a conceptual work that tells the story behind the writing of the funerary text written in Ancient Egypt that consisted of a series of magical spells intended to help the deceased overcome the judgment of Osiris, assist them in their journey through the underworld and travel to paradise in the afterlife.

“With this debut EP from EMA we seek to expand our horizons, make our music reach the whole world. Metal is a style that is not very massive, but is present in all countries,” comments Rodrigo Cuello, guitarist, keyboardist and leader of the band, who since the beginning of this project has had the vision of talking about ancient civilizations, their rituals and beliefs, in all his present and future creations. Likewise, he produced, recorded, mixed and mastered this material at Murder Studios. The lyrics were written by the vocalist, Aldo Roblero.

The EP consists of the following songs:

1. Into the Secret Path

2. Necher Jertet

3. Initiation

4. Mystery of Hunefer

5. Papyrus of Ani
