Maldives-based band ABYSMAL OCEANS invites black metal fans to descend into the depth of darkness with its debut EP “Ravenous Abyss” – released on June 8th independently. “Ravenous Abyss” showcases a tapestry of mixed Maldivian fantasy and folklore tales that evoke the sinister allure of the abyss. Through four interconnected short stories, listeners are invited to a journey into the realm of Abysma, an ancient and malevolent force that reigns supreme beneath the ocean.

Led by visionary figures, Occultus Monolith, Unholy One, and Usham Demoriel, “Ravenous Abyss” challenges perceptions of the genre with its raw aggression, driven by Krzysztof Klingbein‘s thunderous drumming.
“Ravenous Abyss” was mixed and mastered by George Nerantzis, known for his work with iconic metal acts like Abbath and Dark Funeral.
