FOSQUES BÈSTIES, second single by FORJA

Forja releases “Fosques Bèsties“, the second single from the upcoming full-length album “Món Oblidat.”

In this second release, no specific mythological beast is referenced, but it should be noted that the primary source of inspiration has been the “dip”: a kind of evil, hairy, lame-legged vampire dog that fed by sucking the blood of its victims and was considered an emissary of the devil. In fact, in Catalonia, there is a town in the province of Tarragona called Pratdip, and its coat of arms features this mythological figure.

The “Fosques Bèsties” (Dark Beasts) become the representation of evil, the darkness, the obscurity so feared by our ancestors and that we have also inherited. Though in different circumstances and with different connotations, these fears remain alive and latent in our daily lives.

“Fosques Bèsties” is now available on the band’s digital platforms, Spotify and BandCamp , where in addition to the original track, you can listen to up to 5 alternative versions (including the orchestral version and the 16-bit version).

“Món Oblidat” (Forgotten World) is a conceptual album that explores the journey of self-discovery and rediscovery of Cassandra, a woman lost in the frustration of a gray life marked by modern urban routine.

Her involuntary entry into the “Món Oblidat” traps her in a place inhabited by beings from Catalan mythology and folklore, losing herself in the night of time. She delves in, rediscovering herself through encounters with these beings.

In this album, Cassandra’s observant gaze transports us beyond space and time, accompanying her on a cross-border journey. Immersed in uncertainty, we can contact the essence and transform the collective where it unfolds.
