The melodic death metal band Hagalas from Jyväskylä has released the fourth and final single from their album “Mentes Reae” titled “Reprisal Scars”. The track is an intense and dark song that dives deep into themes of emotional pain, loneliness, and revenge. It tells the story of a young boy struggling in the shadows of a broken home, feeling lost and alone. Outwardly, he appears hardened to the world, but inside, he is vulnerable. The song’s lyrics create powerful imagery of mental struggles, comparable to Stockholm syndrome – a state where the boy feels trapped and conflicted.
The song will be available on all streaming platforms starting August 8, 2024. The entire “Mentes Reae” album will be released on streaming services in September 2024. The album is already available for purchase in physical CD format from Inverse Records’ and Levykauppa ÄX‘s online stores.
