In April 2007, the German pagan metal band WOLFCHANT released “A Pagan Storm”, not only a classic in the band’s own history, but also a genre-defining cult album known far beyond the borders of Germany. With this second studio album, the still young band quickly became one of the spearheads of the scene and played shows all over the world.
As this milestone in the band’s history is more than 15 years old and has been sold out for years, the idea of reissuing the album together with the new label was an obvious one. But that’s not all: to bring the album into the present day, WOLFCHANT have taken it upon themselves to re-record the entire classic with today’s standards.
“A Pagan Storm” is now available again as a 2-CD version and offers fans the re-recorded album as well as the original album on a bonus CD.
To celebrate the occasion, the band is also presenting a new video clip for the song “A Wolfchant from the Mountain Side”.

The band comments:
“A Wolfchant from the mountains side was a very important song on A Pagan Storm as it established the connection to our Lower Bavarian homeland and the band. The wolf enclosure of the national park is right at the foot of the mountains. This is how the connection to the name Wolfchant came about.”
