Long awaited split lp between two grindcore acts Sickrecy and Barren has just been released on Selfmadegod Records.
The Sickrecy side delivers five explosive tracks of ass-kicking grindcore while the Barren side delivers seven furious chainsaw grind pieces.
Swedish grindcore act Sickrecy, with members from bands such as Birdflesh, General Surgery, Jigsore Terror and Damned to Downfall, was formed in late 2019/early 2020 by Martin Eriksson who soon teamed up with Marcus Dahl and Adde Mitroulis to make the foundation of Sickrecy. The main inspiration comes from the early 90’s extreme music underground scene and the name Sickrecy, being short for sick secrecy, means that we as people are on a need to know-basis under our rulers and that they just want us to obey and pay. In 2022 they joined forces with SELFMADEGOD rec to release their first full-length album, Salvation Through Tyranny, on CD. The tape version was released by Bullwhip and thanks to Flyktsoda, Helldog, Global help, Throne of lies, Vinyltroll and Urban noise productions the album is now available on vinyl. In 2023 the lineup was completed with the addition of Tobbe Ander and Isac Nordgren Jonasson.
Furious HM2 Chainsaw Grind from Belgium featuring (ex) members of Aborted, Agathocles, Emeth, Human Vivisection. Drawing from their experiences in bands like AGATHOCLES, ABORTED, and SUPPOSITORY, formed in 2017, BARREN quickly established themselves in the grindcore scene with their intense, HM2 sound.
