VIGILHUNTER is an Italian project founded by vocalist / guitarist Alexx Panza, aiming to create late 80s US Heavy Metal with a prog-ish touch.
With the help of bassist Mirko Negrino, who played a key role in bringing the songs and vision to life, the line-up was completed by Marcello “Cell” Leocani on drums and Mattia Itala on lead and rhythm guitar.
The band’s self-titled debut album, packed with screaming guitar riffs, high-pitched vocals, and a powerful yet dynamic approach to songwriting, was recorded during the summer of 2024 and will be released on March 28th 2025 by High Roller Records.
The record consists of 8 tracks, aiming to revive the lost art of US Heavy Metal, which many old-school metal fans still regard as the pinnacle of the genre for its untamable power and class.
