The blackened legions of Exordium Mors return with a vengeance! After more than two decades of relentless chaos, the New Zealand-based force is set to release their ferocious new EP Sworn to Heresy on March 1st via Praetorian Sword Records—and today, the band unveils the blistering new single titled “Oath” via No Clean Singing.
The publication praised the track, stating: “‘Oath’ is a diabolical whirligig of sound — inventively intricate and elaborate, vocally vicious and unhinged, technically eye-popping, and swiftly changing in its moods, which range from ecstatically maniacal to magisterial and esoteric.”
Forged with maniacal speed, blistering melody, and sheer violent brutality, Sworn to Heresy marks a bold new chapter for the band, following the departure of their original vocalist, Scourge. Now armed with a tripartite vocal attack featuring Santi, Black Mortum, and Assailant, their ferocity has reached an entirely new dimension.
Joining the lineup is The Nomad (Rvkkvs, Nullifier), whose annihilatory drumming pushes Exordium Mors to unprecedented speeds and dynamics. With crystal-clear production that sacrifices none of the band’s raw power, Sworn to Heresy bends and breaks metallic conventions, shaping their own diabolic design.
