Today, French atmospheric black metallers Cercle du Chêne reveal the new track “Aux Jours de Chasse.” The track is the second to be revealed from the band’s highly anticipated debut album, Récits d’Automne et de Chasse, set for international release on March 21st via Antiq. Cercle du Chêne was co-founded in 2019 by La Griesche (Grylle, Tour d’Ivoire) and Hyver (Grylle, Véhémence, Hanternoz) with guests as Waldheim (Rauhnacht, Sturmpercht, Golden Dawn), Geoffroy Dell’Aria (Skyforger, Paydretz), and Sparda (Hanternoz, Créatures). After a first demo released in 2023, Première Rencontre, Cercle du Chêne comes back in 2025 with their first full-length.
Titled Récits d’Automne et de Chasse, Cercle du Chêne‘s debut album is based on epic tales of hunt seen through the eyes of animals. Musically, it mixes black metal with dungeon synth and epic choirs. Under a great oak, forest animals gather and tell each other news of the men’s world; fairy tales, legends and epic poems come alive once more. With artwork created by David Thiérée. Cercle du Chêne‘s Récits d’Automne et de Chasse is recommended for fans of Summoning, Stormkeep, and Véhémence.
Antiq is a label dedicated to the fully coherent concept of making music through sound, image, video, and attitude. They have been putting their entire existence into it since 2009. Over the years, Antiq have been identified as producers of not only perfectly coherent lyrics and themes through music, but also conceptual art and, of course, the manufacturing of beautiful objects. The label tries as much as it can to work with French creators, and if possible, with the smallest and most serious structures.
