It is the second song from their upcoming third album, “Conquer,” released worldwide on 28 March 2025.
On My Command guitarist and vocalist Sean Mackay notes that ‘Burning Desire’ is “A sing along metal anthem, channeling the best of bands such as Judas Priest. The song is all about building resilience and using your struggles to come back stronger than ever.”
“Conquer” continues where 2021’s “Prey” left off and sees On My Command flying the Aussie flag as part of the New Wave of Traditional Heavy Metal (NWOTHM). It features nine tracks of raw metallic energy, seamlessly combining traditional metal with doses of early thrash and power metal.
Sean notes that “Conquer” represents On My Command at its most complete. “It fulfils the brief I’ve always had for this music- that the riffs be heavy, and that it is as melodic as it is energetic. There is no filler, and no downtime. The album hits you from the first second to the last chord.”
Sean joined on “Conquer” by New York wunderkind James Knoerl on session drums. Mixing and mastering duties were expertly handled by Andy Kite from Against the Grain Studios, with Andreas Marschall (Hammerfall, Kreator, Blind Guardian) returning with another amazing piece of cover art.
