Swedish death metallers WOMBBATH have announced their new and seventh overall studio album “Beyond The Abyss“, set for release on March 14th 2025 via Pulverised Records on CD, LP and in digital formats.
It was recorded, mixed & mastered at Studio Unbound by Jonny Pettersson and features a cover artwork by Julian Felipe Mora Ibañez (Consumption, Molder, Witchtrap, etc).
Get ready for the band’s most aggressive material to date. It pushes the progressive elements first displayed on the predecessor “Agma” (2021), but at the same time results in the most old school sounding album since the early days of WOMBBATH. Where “Agma” was fairly clean, “Beyond The Abyss” is dark, filthy and, in a way, more organic. With one foot in the early days of death metal and one foot in the future.
