Sydney’s melodic metal quintet Visualis have announced their long-awaited debut album “Rites of the Eclipse” arriving February 28. The band comprises of TNT on vocals, John Browne on Guitar, Roman Ibarra on Guitar and Keys, Zoran Šukara on Bass and Dawid Siembab on Drums.
“This is an album that has long been in the making, ever since I joined the band just over 2 years ago. The five of us come from different countries and backgrounds, which is reflected in the music. Some tracks are light, while others have a darker tone and story to it. Like an eclipse shadowing the light behind it. The tracks showcase a passage of time and path we have traversed to get to where we are and tell the tale.” -says TNT
“This compilation of tracks comprises compositions from the band’s inception to present day. It showcases the different elements and influences from each member involved as we all hail from different countries and paths of the world. We believe that Rites of the Eclipse is a good representation of how far we have come as a band and can’t wait to share it with the world”
– says John
Visualis released two singles leading up to the release of the album namely “Dreamchaser” a few months ago and most recently “Sons of the Sun” where they have collaborated with Kingcrown and ex-Nightmare vocalist Jo Amore.
‘Rites of the Eclipse’ was recorded at El Capitano Records (Wollongong, NSW) by Samantha Bowker, and it was mixed and mastered by Luis Echegollen (Metanoia Records, Mexico City). The drums were recorded by Finley Ford, the former drummer before Dawid stepped into the role. It is a follow up to their 2021 debut EP ‘Sunrise in Black’.
All the art for ‘Rites of the Eclipse’ was designed by Colin Bolger from Dabúlga Design, Ireland
