A celestial side project from the members of Wilt and Dissolution
Canadian death metal trio OOBRIS IOS is proud to announce their second single, “Kesais Irabad Xogolo Arait,” now streaming via Decibel Magazine. The band’s debut album, Vospat, drops March 21 via Decomp Regalia Records.

Decibel writes: “The track lurches forward with inhuman intensity, bending sound into blackened oblivion. The band offers little in the way of direct translation, only alluding to the possibility that these lyrics narrate the sensation of being pulled through a black hole, a descent into the infinite. The result is both cryptic and captivating—equal parts visceral and otherworldly.”
Featuring members of Manitoba-based extreme metal acts Wilt and Dissolution, OOBRIS IOS formed in 2024, drawing on the concept of the Singularity’s destruction 14 billion years ago—a moment that birthed the universe and scattered the seeds of chaos.
Vospat channels that chaos into eight unrelenting tracks written and sung in an ancient celestial tongue, with titles like “Sagot Los Ros Obvis Vin,” “Dostratis Satod Duvon Xagon,” and “Kesais Irabad Xogolo Arait.”
The band comments regarding the celestial origin of the lyrics: “Translations were lost eons ago, but some believe it is the retelling of what it’s like to be dragged through a black hole across the cosmos.”

Their first single, “Dostratis Satod Duvon Xagon,” recently premiered on NO CLEAN SINGING, showcases their ability to create music that feels utterly alien yet viscerally human.
